Jesca Kishoa Enters the Race for Iramba East Parliamentary Seat through CCM

Jesca Kishoa Collects Nomination Form to Contest Iramba East Parliamentary Seat

By Amini Nyaungo

Jesca David Kishoa, a Special Seats Member of Parliament, has officially collected the nomination form to seek the ruling party CCM’s endorsement to contest the parliamentary seat for Iramba East constituency.

Kishoa collected the form today, June 30, 2025, at the CCM District Office in Mkalama, Singida Region.

This move comes a month after she publicly declared her intention to vie for the Iramba East seat under the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) ticket.

Kishoa is among the 19 former Special Seats MPs from CHADEMA who were expelled from the party following a dispute over the legitimacy of their parliamentary appointments. The party leadership argued that proper procedures and guidelines were not followed, rendering their positions unlawful.

Kishoa is widely seen as a strong contender in the upcoming race, admired for her articulate arguments and influential presence in Tanzania’s political landscape.
