Japhari Saidi Officially Declares Parliamentary Ambition for Singida Urban

Singida, Tanzania – Japhari Saidi, a highly educated professional and expert in medical product regulation, has officially announced his intention to seek nomination from the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), to contest for the Member of Parliament seat for Singida Urban in the upcoming 2025 General Election.
Speaking shortly after his declaration, Japhari stated that his decision to enter the race stems from a deep desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of the people of Singida Urban by leveraging his experience in public service, academic background, and close engagement with communities.
“I believe Singida Urban needs a visionary representative—someone who understands the real challenges facing our people and has the capacity to work collaboratively with both government and citizens to bring about sustainable development,” said Japhari.
Born and raised in Utemini Ward, Singida Urban, Japhari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Product Regulation from Purdue University, USA. He has over 10 years of experience as a Senior Drug Inspector with the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA), ensuring the safety and quality of medicines in the Tanzanian market.
Japhari has expressed readiness to collect nomination forms once the CCM’s official processes are opened and has called upon the people of Singida Urban to receive him with open hearts and join him in a journey of positive transformation and progress
