The Executive Director of Mkalama District Council, Hajjat Asia J. Messos, on July 8, 2026, conducted an inspection tour of several ongoing development projects in the wards of Kinampundu, Mwanga, and Nkalankala.
During the visit, Hajjat Asia Messos inspected projects worth a total of TZS 480,195,000, aimed at improving education and healthcare services for residents of Mkalama District.
The projects inspected included:
Construction of six classrooms, an administration block, 16 toilet cubicles, and two model classrooms at Grace Mesaki Primary School.
Completion of two science laboratories at Seth Benjamini Secondary School.
Completion of one science laboratory at Selenge Secondary School.
Completion of one science laboratory at Grace Mesaki Secondary School.
Completion of the Malaja Dispensary.
Construction of 24 toilet cubicles at Nkalankala Primary School.
During the inspection, the Executive Director emphasized the importance of close supervision to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, meet the required quality standards, and begin providing reliable education and healthcare services to the people of Mkalama District.
